day 4 may 13 tough day most of the day. but a strong finish for 25 miles in 13 hours. far cry from 35 in 14 and a half yesterday . gary david took good care of me when i was struggling and a surprise visit from the legend craig wilson lifted my spirits at the end. goodnight all

may 12 day 3 32 miles  total 77 i was rather disappointed when i started out this morning, that i had not gone further yesterday. right after the motel where i stayed was a sidewalk and then a great shoulder followed by a stretch of the old US 1 thru the center of north attleboro. in retrospect, it was still a good decision to stop when i did. after 8 hours of the equivalent of Read more…

nightmare on us1

as good as day 1 was day 2 was just that bad. terrible traffic no shoulder. spent much of the day in the lane with traffic missing me by inches. only got 21 miles and bailed early to see if i can finish us1 before sunrise…. and returning traffic. legs and feet are good back is shaky. stomach having some issues. biggest problem is google map measurements. i have 45 miles which should have put Read more…

what did i forget?

may 9 day minus 1 one by one i have abandoned the accoutrements of the old life. just ditching my keys left me feeling naked. but what use have i for keys now? no house. no car. no office. no storage of useless possessions. i have no need for keys. and now most of the rest has gone with the keys. boxed up, and sent away. leaving me with nothing but what i think i Read more…
