may 29 day 20 27 miles total 512 another hot, hot day the mountains may be behind me but the hills never end in upstate new york. my hip issue got nasty during the afternoon but eased up at the end. 500 miles doesn’t sound like much, but it is a long way! hard to believe that after tomorrow i will have been walking 14 hours a day for 3 weeks. laz

the heat was today
may 28 day 19 27 miles total 485 i paid dearly for yesterday’s big push. last night and this morning both. when temperatures reached 93 the day looked like a disaster in the making. a timely milkshake and a little persistent forward progress at least salvaged a tie for the day. that and more good company than i can remember all the names and ben murphy/durb crewing. i hope everyone had at least half the Read more…
