t is still a few miles ahead but we are approaching the second curve since midnight!!!

the construction zone ended. my feet have been pulverized.

i have been walking on ground pavement for the last 4 hours with no end in sight. apparently they intended to repave us 20 and lost interest halfway through. more foot torture. but at least there *is* a shoulder! laz

at 10:20:03 i set foot on solid ground in nebraska. 1,650 miles after wetting my feet in the atlantic in newport rhode island. i wonder what new adventures are in store for me here? laz

so you want to take a side road to avoid 20? we will bring 20 to you. (enjoy the trucks)    

ignored the magic phone which told me my only choices were a gravel road or climbing a barbed wire fence and cutting thru a cornfield. so i am on a human scouted paved road. there’s a lot of traffic and like all iowa roads no shoulder. so my head is Read more…
