after nearly a week the weather seems to have broke today.
after a blistering hot morning
the afternoon was filled with popup thunderstorms.

the cloud cover and breezes actually felt quite good.
unless you happened to be caught in one of the torrential downpours.

just in case you had concerns for the welfare of the vol state staff,
we actually got a break this afternoon
and you can bet we have put it to good use.
a shower and a mea,l already done,
as soon as this post is finished i am going to take a nap in a real bed!
with 62 runners expected to come in over the next 84 hours
it is not hard to figure out that another break is unlikely.

as this is probably my last sleep that will be measured in hours until sunday.
