single fields are thousands of acres

from the top of a hill while still many miles from town. a few hours later i a.m. magically here. the slow march goes on and soon it will disappear behind me.

but i am walking thru the magnificent seneca river wetlands and an eagle is circling low overhead as i walk past it’s nest. every day has its fresh surprises. laz

after 390 miles i am eating lunch at a cafe instead of a diner and quaffing a birch beer rather than a root beer (not sure how far it is to civilization and dr pepper) it was only yesterday i could get real chocolate milk for the first time! laz
